Indigenous Partnerships Success Showcase 2023.

Join us for a dinner during the fourth annual IPSS, returning to Vancouver on June 1st, 2023.

The gathering is held on the traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

Location: Vancouver Convention Centre West Building Canada Place Vancouver, BC V6C 3G3.

Time: Thursday, 1 Jun 2023, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM PDT.

Please note that access to the conference itself, including the Signature Reception, is separately ticketed. Attendees who wish to attend IPSS 2023 proceedings in addition to the 2023 dinner can do so by selecting the appropriate add-ons within the primary ticketing page.

Purpose. Relationships. Vision.

The IPSS 2023 banquet dinner will be hosted by Geena Jackson, the creator and Executive Producer of the reality television show The Bears' Lair. After a traditional welcome from Carla George (Squamish Nation), Regional Chief Terry Teegee (BC Assembly of First Nations) will deliver opening remarks.

Guests will enjoy the musical artistry of returning IPSS performer Joey Stylez, joined on-stage by Haida songstress Carsen Gray. An award-winning Indigenous hip hop artist, Stylez has been selected by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) as one of the top 25 Canadian rappers of all time.

During the plated three-course dinner, attendees will enjoy a fireside chat on the HaiSea initiative, a partnership between the Haisla Nation and Seaspan that will provide marine services for LNG Canada, the country’s first large-scale export facility located in Kitimat, BC, on the ancestral territory of the Haisla First Nation. Participants of that conversation include Chief Councillor Crystal Smith, Haisla Nation; Jordan Pechie, Senior Vice President, Seaspan Marine Transportation; Ed Ross, Cook/Deckhand, Seaspan Marine Transportation; and Luke Schauerte, Vice President (Asset), LNG Canada.

Wine and non-alcoholic drinks will be served with dinner.

After dinner, a collection of pieces by Haida fashion designer Dorothy Grant will be showcased by models from Indigenous-owned Supernaturals Modelling, while DJ Kookum plays.

Attendees will be welcome to stay until 9:30 pm.

Tables of ten may be purchased by payment by credit card or via cheque/EFT. Please be sure to indicate dietary restrictions or allergies during ticketing.

Please note that access to the conference itself is separately ticketed. Attendees who wish to attend IPSS 2023 proceedings in addition to the 2023 dinner can do so by selecting the appropriate add-ons within the primary ticketing page. Please also note that the 2023 Dinner is a separate event from the June 1st Signature Reception, which takes place from 5:00-7:00 PM following the main conference event and immediately before the 2023 Dinner (tickets to the Signature Reception are available as a complimentary add-on if selected when purchasing conference tickets).

Purchasing more than one ticket?

We've tried to make ticketing for groups as pain-free as possible. Below are directions for ordering tickets for as-of-yet unknown individuals. Please note that our ticketing platform, Eventbrite, enables each attendee's information to be copied to others on the order, simplifying the ticketing process for multiple registrations.

Want to save on credit card processing fees? If purchasing more than four tickets, we are happy to issue an invoice. Please select this method during check-out and email accounting@resourceworks.com, CCing margareta@resourceworks.com, with the total amount due and the order number. You will receive an invoice and our direct deposit details. Payment is due 7 days after invoice receipt, or 7 days before the conference starts (Thursday, May 25, 2023), whichever comes first.

  1. Enter the company/organization name in the first name field.

  2. Sequentially number the unconfirmed attendees in the last name field. Ex: #1, #2, #3, etc.

  3. Enter the email of the person who is managing the ticket so they may access it for later edits.

  4. Please provide final names no later than Friday, May 26, 2023 at 4:00 pm Pacific.

  5. Follow the link "Go to My Tickets" link (large orange button) in the email with the subject line "Your Tickets for Indigenous Partnerships Success Showcase 2023," and edit the attendee details. Please ensure that "Send confirmation email to new attendee," has been ticked so that the person attending receives their ticket.

  6. Edit any complimentary add-ons or conference registrations accordingly to ensure that names, emails, and company names are identical.

Complimentary add-ons for conference attendees, such as for receptions or late night off-site activities (while quantities last), must be added during registration in the correct number with the correct name for each, so that the badge reflects all additional tickets. If editing the name for a conference pass, and add-ons have been selected, please ensure that the same attendee name is displayed for the add-ons as well. Likewise, if purchasing a dinner ticket (separate order form), please ensure that the name, email, and company names are identical between tickets.

Purchasing a table?

Table tickets may be purchased in multiples of ten only. Please provide the preferred logo and table name to margareta@resourceworks.com by Friday, May 25, 2023. To save on ticketing fees, feel free to tick the invoice method of payment.

Refunds

We will provide full refunds when requested in cases of extenuating personal circumstances. All other cancellations will be eligible for a refund minus a $50 handling fee per ticket until Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 4:00 pm. Any cancellations after this time will not be eligible for a refund.
